Anti Obama Racists: You Will Lose

It looks like racists have been crawling out of the gutter to leave some helpful comments on an old post I wrote.

Which I’ve decided I am fine with.  I want them to be out in the light and paying attention when they lose.

That Beck? Or Glenn Beck? (One got talent the other does not).

  5. I love that song. Mellow Gold FTW.

  6. It is my opinion that Mr. Obama lacks the honesty, judgment and character necessary to lead this country.

  7. Any particular reason you think so, Beck?

  8. My opinions of Mr. Obama are concluded from his many oral presentations in the news media. I do not believe his message is sincere. He is a good politician, a better politician than Mr. McCain, but Mr. McCain is the better man. That, of course, is only my opinion.

  9. Beck,

What makes you think Obama’s message is insincere?

I can’t believe you think McCain the better man. He’s flipflopped on torture. You don’t get much more reprehensible than that. He’s shoved every principle, every ounce of statesmanship under the rug and invited the radical religious right, the neoconservatives, and the paleoconservatives into his heart and home. He has been a liar and a shill for the Bush administration. This is a man who long ago gave up the respect he once held proudly.

  10. These are obviously not my own words, but they perfectly explain my sentiments. “I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post.”

  11. OMG those comments were crazy Im glad I dont get those comments on my blog because I dont think I would be able to take it.

  12. Really, McCain the better man? The McCain that abandoned his first wife when she was crippled in an accident and traded up to trophy wife #2? The McCain of the Savings & Loans scandal or the one who has embraced Rovian politics after Rove smeared him with the “black baby” phone message?

    That McCain?

As for the quote, may I remind you that to this day there is such a thing as civilian rule over the military. The military works for the nation and the Republic, not the other way around. Otherwise it is merely the worship of empty uniforms.

Although I have to ask, what freedoms are those that you provide, since said freedoms are unalienable to begin with.

  13. It does not surprise me that your liberal mind allows you to assume that “freedom” is without cost. You obviously never served in the military.

  14. Never said that they where free. But you certainly do not “provide me” with freedom, especially these days when wars are conducted for conquest and gain. So yes, I get to question it and whether you answer or not is a different matter. But I do not give support blindly just because somebody wears an uniform.

And so what if I never served, has America turned into Starship Troopers or what?

  15. To Dan(Fitness)

If you think paleoconservatives have ANYTHING to do with John McCain, then you don’t have a freaking clue what “paleoconservatives” are.

  16. Beck,
Oh you endearing nut. You are quoting Col. Jessup! The guy who is ultimately condemned for his actions. IMDB:

Downey: What did we do wrong? We did nothing wrong.
Dawson: Yeah, we did. We were supposed to fight for the people who couldn’t fight for themselves. We were supposed to fight for Willie.

Lt. Kaffee is proven correct in doing the very thing he;s being admonished by Col. Jessup not to do: Questioning the manner in which protection is provided. A very poor choice of quote to defend your point of view.

    sensico,
    meh, this is rather tame.

    ralfast,
Good points especially on civilian rule. But this is priceless:

Although I have to ask, what freedoms are those that you provide, since said freedoms are unalienable to begin with.

. Beck does contradict himself there.

    Beck,
You are the one making the assumptions, and your aim is piss poor. Sacrifice can be counter-productive if done blindfolded, and that is precisely why this country needs candidates who lead with their eyes open.

    ralfast,
    Some seem to think so.

    Chris,
    Wikipedia:

The paleoconervatives use the suffix conservative somewhat differently from some American opponents of Leftism. It refers specifically to their stated desire to restore the culture and heritage of Christendom.

McCain’s been pandering to the religious right nearly since he lost in 2000. He badly wants their support, and adjusts his positions and principles to pursue it.
