Bush on Iraq

Reuters writes “Bush to defend Iraq policy amid clamor for change“.  We all know what he’s going to say.  Just more of the same “stay the course” crap that’s worked so well for us up until now.  Why does he even speak?  Why is it news when he does?

Maybe because we are all just waiting for another gem:

“Troop levels will be decided by our commanders on the ground, and not by political figures in Washington, D.C.,” Bush, who was to speak about Iraq later in Cleveland, told reporters during a stop in Parma, Ohio.

Then Bush literally slapped irony in the face.
